Two identical copies of Difference Engine No. 2 have been built:

Serial No. 1 is on exhibit in the Science Museum in London, UK, and currently standing idle without ever being shown in operation.
Serial No. 2 was on exhibit at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View, California, USA, from 10 May 2008 until 31 January 2016, where it was shown in operation and where all of the following photos and videos were made. This machine now stands in the foyer of the company Intellectual Ventures in Seattle, Washington, USA.
